TCM Pro provides COTC and CIWM (WAMITAB) technically competent manager cover for permitted waste sites. This policy explains what personal data we collect through tcmpro.co.uk, why we collect it, and what you can do about it. We are the data controller for everything described here.
What we collect when you use the enquiry form
When you submit the form on our Request Cover page, we collect and store:
- Your name
- Your email address
- Your phone number
- The type of site you operate
- Your environmental permit reference, if you give one
- How urgent your requirement is
- Anything you write in the message field
- The IP address the submission came from
All of it is stored in this website’s database. We also send it to ourselves by email so we see it promptly.
We ask for your permit reference because it tells us the risk tier and waste types your site is authorised for, which is what determines the level of cover you need. It is optional and the form works without it.
We record the IP address for one reason: identifying and blocking spam submissions.
Why we are allowed to hold it
Our lawful basis is legitimate interests: responding to a business enquiry you chose to send us, and keeping the site free of spam. If you ask us for a quote, we need your contact details to give you one.
If we ever want to send you marketing you have not asked for, we will ask your permission first.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries for 24 months from your last contact with us, then delete them. If you become a client, we keep your records for as long as we provide cover and for six years after that, which is the period we may need them for tax and legal purposes.
You can ask us to delete your enquiry sooner.
Who else sees it
Our hosting provider. This website and its database are hosted by Blazing Fast Web Hosting, who store the data on our behalf and do not use it for their own purposes.
We do not sell your data, and we do not pass it to other companies for their marketing.
Cookies and tracking
This site loads Google Tag Manager, which we use to understand how the site is used. Depending on the tags running in it, this can set cookies on your device and send your IP address to Google.
This site also loads its fonts from Google Fonts. When your browser fetches them, your IP address is sent to Google.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Doing so will not stop you using this site or sending us an enquiry.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask us to:
- Tell you what personal data we hold about you, and give you a copy
- Correct anything that is wrong
- Delete it
- Stop using it, or limit how we use it
- Stop relying on legitimate interests, by objecting
- Send it to you in a portable format
Email us and we will respond within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We would rather you came to us first so we can put it right.
